The second edition of the text/atlas of ‘Surgical Anatomy for Dentistry’ in which the description of the many details that are often of little use in surgical practice has been deliberately omitted, highlighting instead those details, such as anatomical variants, that are often overlooked but whose knowledge is of fundamental importance for the correct interpretation of the specific anatomical district.
